Drake has plenty of acting experience from being on the small screens on Degrassi: The Next Generation and SNL and also on the big screens for movies such as Anchorman 2, but now we see Drake in a different light.
Footage of a young Aubrey Graham has resurfaced now, thanks to a CBC feature on The Rivoli, the historic Toronto performance venue.
In the clip, Drake and his female scene partner perform onstage while the audience throws plot directions their way. While she exercises on a step machine, the future hip-hop heavyweight approaches her for conversation before being directed to act “nervous” to her replies. Later, it’s revealed his character is gay (“So I’m gay, so what?”) and he has to sing a country song explaining why she shouldn’t lift weights while pregnant.
It’s unclear whether this video was shot before or after Drake got his big break on Degrassi in 2001 when he was 15.
