Kodak Black is now a free as the rapper has been released from a Florence, South Carolina jail earlier today (December 1).
The rapper was jailed in Florence, where he is charged in a sexual assault case. The 19-year-old rapper, born Dieuson Octave, has been accused of sexual battery in an incident that occurred in February at a local hotel.
According to recently released warrant in the case, “[Octave] forced the victim onto the bed in the room and then onto the floor of the room. The [defendant] removed the victim’s underwear and attacked her orally and then penetrated her.”
Kodak was originally facing robbery, false imprisonment, fleeing a law enforcement officer, and possession of a firearm by a delinquent in Fort Lauderdale.
He eventually reached a plea deal in that case and avoided 55 years in prison, in addition to receiving house arrest for a year and probation for five years.
On Wednesday, Kodak Black was released from a jail in St. Lucie, Florida after serving 120 days in jail for marijuana possession.
Kodak Black could be sentenced to as many as 30 years in prison if he is found guilty of the charges, which he has denied through a statement issued by his lawyers.
