Wale and J Cole had the whole industry talking when each of them dropped songs that were aimed at each other this past week. Many had truly thought that Wale and J Cole were beefing and no longer cool with each other, but looks like the jokes on those who fell for it. The two were only doing a very competitive battle and still remained friends, given that the two hung together at the NC State vs. Boston University basketball game in Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday (December 3).
Wale posted a 10-second clip of the two of them sitting together along with the tag “See you at the game, Bro” which is a reference to a line from the “Groundhog Day” track that he’d released hours before in response to J Cole’s verse on “False Prophets.”
Wale tweeted a day before Cole released his music that the issues between the two are solely for show with saying: “#keepkayfabeAlive” which is a wrestling term that defines the scripted nature of the sports and the divide in the characters who are going against each other.
J Cole’s album will be releasing this Friday on December 5th.
