Prodigy’s Mural Removed After Repeated Acts of Vandalism

In very distasteful news, after Prodigy’s mural in New York has been vandalized back to back, the decision has been made to remove it.

Jeff Henriquez and Eli Lazare were the artists behind the incredible mural for the late Mobb Deep rapper, who passed away June 20 due to complications of his sickle cell anemia. Henriquez and Lazare had just unveiled their homage to Prodigy at the Urban Upbound building on 13th Street and 40th Avenue in Queensbridge, New York the week before the vandalism.

The day after the mural was unveiled, it was ruined by white paint but was promptly fixed by the artists. Once again, a second act of vandalism was reported, with red paint splattered on the mural. The criminals behind the vandalism has yet to be identified.
